The present-day street pattern of Belleville was laid out in 1847, and our town hall was erected in 1875. We're a town of strawberry festivals and old car shows, of safe neighborhoods and historic homes.
Close to our hotel in Belleville, guests can stroll the grounds of the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, built on 87 lakefront acres. No trip to Belleville is complete without seeing our signature waterfront on Belleville Lake. Visit Van Buren Park where you can swim, picnic, catch a concert or just bird-watch. As you can see, there are plenty of things to do in Belleville, MI.
We've already done the studying and research for you, so just go and enjoy the historic One-Room Schoolhouse in Northville, which was refurbished in 2001 for Hampton® Hotels' Save-A-Landmark® Program. The schoolhouse, built in 1873, eventually closed in 1966 after falling victim to vandals and a brushfire. The tiny school was donated to the Mill Race Historical Village in 1974 for ongoing preservation efforts.
