The historic district near our hotel in New Bern will enchant visitors. Our Colonial town was founded in 1710 and offers trolley car tours of three distinct historic districts. Its homes and buildings date back to the 18th century, and you'll see dozens of sites on the National Register of Historic Places. After you've walked about town for a while, swing by the soda fountain at 256 Middle Street – have a nice, cold, refreshing Brad's Drink. If you don’t know Brad's Drink, you might recognize its modern name: Pepsi Cola. Lastly, while you're staying at our hotel in New Bern, you don't want to miss Tryon Palace, the home of British Governor William Tryon. The incredible Georgian mansion was the capitol of the Colony of North Carolina, and later, of the state.
Book your room today at the Hampton Inn hotel in New Bern. Be sure to drop in at the front desk for some tips on how to enjoy all of the outdoor and historic New Bern attractions our beautiful North Carolina town has to offer.
