When you come to the Hampton Inn & Suites® hotel in Pittsburgh-Downtown, PA, you're right in the middle of all our river city has to offer. Once known primarily as an industrial town, Pittsburgh has undergone an amazing transformation. Visit the Frick Art & Historical Center, a six-acre complex of museums, historic homes and ornate grounds. Andrew Carnegie left a huge impression on our city. Visit the Carnegie Museum of Art, with major collections of French Impressionists, Post-Impressionists, contemporary art and the decorative arts of Europe and North America. See the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, often called "the home of the dinosaurs" for its giant fossil and dinosaur collection. The Carnegie Science Center features OMNIMAX films and hands-on technologies to engage children with learning. Our hotel is near Heinz Field, where you can catch the Steelers or the Panthers playing at home.
Want to get out and see the river? Take a "Just Ducky" tour in a truck that doubles as a boat. Or, for a more traditional nautical experience, board one of the Gateway Clipper Fleet's paddle wheelers for a cruise on the Monongahela, Allegheny or Ohio rivers. Lastly, don't miss the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. It's all near our hotel in Pittsburgh.
