Our hotel in Traveler’s Rest is near many places to explore the natural splendor of the area. Visit Paris Mountain State park and hike or bike on 15 miles of trails, or head to Table Rock State Park and experience the waterfalls. Chimney Rock Park features a 315 foot granite monolith and fantastic rock climbing opportunities. The park surrounding Campbell’s Covered Bridge includes picnic areas, an old gristmill, and Beaverdam Creek, while the bridge itself is the only one of its kind left in South Carolina.
For some indoor fun head to the Upcountry History Museum and learn about history from their exhibits, special events, and speakers. Check out the impressive permanent collection and traveling exhibits of the Greenville County Museum of Art. The Peace Center is a performing arts venue where you can see Broadway touring shows.
Take the kids to the Children’s Botanical Garden, or the Roper Mountain Science Center featuring the largest planetarium in South Carolina. While you’re in town, hop on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 17.5 mile paved trail that connects Travelers Rest to Furman University and then on to downtown Greenville. The trail features access to local boutiques and restaurants in town.
Book your stay at the Hampton Inn hotel in Greenville/Travelers Rest and relax near natural beauty, while still enjoying access to all that Greenville has to offer. Be sure to stop by the front desk so we can offer more ideas on all the sights and activities in the area.
